Product Spotlight: Baggu goodness

November 29, 2012 · 0 comments

It has been a little too long since I have done a Product Spotlight, but couldn’t hold back sharing about this product with you today. Typically I like to talk about design products, but today I thought I would mix it up a bit. Today’s featured product is a product that anyone can use. You don’t have to be remodeling your home or upgrading your space to get your hands on this product…

A few weeks back I attended Greenbuild Conference and Expo. While I spent time learning about green living, I was also learning how to live my life a little bit greener.

Today I wanted to continue the conversation about sustainable living and share with you how one product has helped me live a more sustainable lifestyle, in a simple way.

A year ago, my mother flew in for Thanksgiving at our house- our first Thanksgiving since tying the knot. On Black Friday we decided to support small businesses by shopping along King Street in Old Town and Mt. Vernon Ave in Del Ray. We stumbled upon a new local paper store, Fifteen Eleven (now, a favorite of mine). My mom found these super cute bags, Baggu, and bought a few. Well, little did I know, one would surprise me in my stocking a month later.

Let me tell you, I absolutely love my Baggu bag. It snuggles so nicely in my purse that I sometimes forget it is there. However, whenever I make a quick trip to Target, Trader Joes, or Walgreens, my Baggu bag has now become my right-hand woman. She holds a lot for her size and is way cute, wouldn’t you agree? (I actually think the bright pink helps me find her in my purse)

When I was in San Francisco last week, my Baggu bag, once again, came in handy. Rather than paying an extra 10 cents, only to throw away the bag back at the hotel (my hotel did not offer a recycle container in the room), my Baggu bag was the perfect solution. Another bonus, my Baggu bag is waterproof, so on the rainy day we had in San Fran, a paper bag just wouldn’t have cut it.

Baggu has an array of size bags available and they come in a variety of colors and patterns. The price is very reasonable too. If you are a close friend of mine, don’t be alarmed if you get a Baggu bag of your own this year for Christmas. I think they would also make perfect graduation, bridesmaid, or even shower gifts.
