Friday Coloring Book- color, color, color!

February 1, 2013 · 1 comment

This week I have been inspired by color, color, and more color. On Monday I talked about incorporating pink into your space, thanks to Valentine’s Day coming up. And Tuesday I captured a variety of blue spaces- how to use a little, or a lot of blue. Well, today I wanted to continue the theme (before writing this I didn’t even know there was a theme. It is just where my inspiration lead me, haha). Check out some of these colorful images that are screaming at me! Oh, and don’t miss a special event I will be at in DC next week (scroll to the bottom)!

Thinking of going bold? Try starting in a small space, like a powder room. This doesn’t involve a great deal of commitment, financially speaking. Have fun with color by incorporating different textures and patterns.

Are you a person that loves color but wants to incorporate it piece by piece? This space is perfect for that! Incorporate color in accessories like flowers, pillows, wall art, lighting, and area rugs. Mix and match colors, prints, and patterns to create a more bold look.

This space kind of reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. Do you get that feeling too? I love the color brought in through the kitchenware, styled by Heather Nette King. This is perfect if you are a renter and are not able to paint or add artwork on the walls. Or, maybe you just don’t like to paint and would rather add color this way!

This space sure captures vintage + color at its greatest. Three shades of green? Yes please! Oh, how they compliment each other so perfectly, especially next to the orange tackboard and sky blue vintage dining chairs.

I am definitely feeling inspired through these color combinations and patterns.

Even the slightest bit of color can go a long way, like in this entryway designed by Interior Designer Katie Rosenfeld.

So there you have it, a little color to end your week. Where do you want to add color to this season? Share your thoughts with me below! Happy Friday!
