It’s the first Friday of 2013 and I already feel like the year is flying by! I am thankful for the short week, but have a lot to get done! To catch you up to speed, here are a few things on what I am busy busy busy (did I say busy) with. What a great way to start the year! I hope this is a sign of what the year will bring!
If you missed yesterday’s post, check it out here! I capture a lot of information about hiring a designer. It is a must read!
We are in full-swing ‘go-mode’ for a full home renovation in Historical Old Town Alexandria. Working through the demolition phase, we are simultaneously coordinating a public Hearing for approval to make some minor exterior cosmetic changes (to restore the building), designing the new galley kitchen (with french doors- how fun!), and putting together bathroom design concepts. We even found a secret room after demoing part of the wall. Way cool!
A dear friend of mine contacted me earlier this week with a ‘we would like to move forward with renovating our master bath…’ Amen! It is a small space, but definitely needs to be attended to and I am so excited to begin that project with her, especially since I know she and her husband will be my clients- they are such a fun, loving, genuine couple that truly deserve a wonderful master bath!
Finally…drum roll, please!! Yesterday Olios was featured on House Calls in the Washington Post! If you missed the article (and my design concept), you can check out the article here (complete with a before and future photos). This is an extreme honor am I am overwhelmed with gratitude for this feature!
Whew, that is alot to ring in the new year, if I do say so myself! But wait, there is more! Next week, I will be making an exciting announcement! For now, I will be keeping you hanging on the edge of your seat. Don’t you just love me for that! Happy weekend!
